Eric Curry
Eric Felece Curry (born February 3, 1970 in Thomasville, Georgia) is a former professional American football defensive end who played seven seasons for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Jacksonville Jaguars from 1993 to 1999 in the National Football League. Curry is famous for hugging the NFL Commissioner, Paul Tagliabue, when he was called by the Bucs in the 1993 Draft.
Curry, along with fellow defensive end John Copeland were known as the "bookends" during their time at The University of Alabama. Both were considered instrumental in Alabama's #1 rated defense which led the team to the National Championship in the 1992 season coached by Gene Stallings. Curry currently resides in Jacksonville, FL.
